Editorial is a different perspective of an editor which basically showcased editor views or opinion on a particular interest at the present time.  It lacks reasons or facts and analysis. Thus this editorial is all focused on Scientific Research and its publication which is considered as one of the building block of this scientific era. Now the question arises, what is this scientific research and why it is so important?? So the answer is, a Scientific research is a creative and systematic investigation of materials and sources in order to gather data so as to establish new facts, thus to reach new conclusions. These researches are undertaken mostly by students or research scholars or even by professors to increase the ocean of scientific knowledge and to devise new applications or to find out the new facts. These researches should be of high quality, highly technical and completely authentic. It is not only important to conduct these studies/ researches however it is equally important to get it documented in the form of publication as once it got published it will be accessed worldwide in peer groups. These researches can be published in various scientific journals after peer reviewed by the Editor of that particular journal. These scientific journals are the collection of these scientific researchers conducted by an individual either in the form of clinical studies, original research, literature reviews or case reports. The published research articles can be used as a supporting document for further research or to support other new research or even for higher studies. The publication of these researches and their findings are the essential part of scientific method and it also keeps their readers up to date in their particular field. Nowadays as it’s a known fact that the medical science is expanding exponentially and to make it vaster there is a need to incorporate research oriented medical education. Thus it is very much needed to increase the quality of research in our country and to emphasize more on teaching of how to conduct an authentic research and how to get it documented.

A journal should have the objective to publish more number of original researches helping both clinicians and academicians in their clinical knowledge upgradation. Even after having so many scientific journals and publications, we are still lacking in authentic and quality research although researches published till date has showed improvement over the years. As we are in 21st century, we need to upgrade the standard of researches. To initiate any good research, curiosity is the first step whereas to implement the idea and to document it, a lot of time, patience, dedication and enthusiasm are required. As it was very well said by Philip Zimbardo:

“Academic Success Depends on Research and Publications”

Thus the focus of these scientific journals should be on encouraging and promoting publication of more and more clinically based original research not only to upgrade academic skill but also clinical skill as well.
