Under the conditions of gradual introduction of market principles in the agrarian sector of our country and modernization practice, it is required to produce high quality products and ensure its competitiveness, effectively using existing agrarian resources involved in cotton production. At the same time, the task of solving the problem of the production of more products due to the use of resource-saving technologies in the cotton industry - the natural and climatic conditions of each region of the country, the features of land and water supply and use, labor resources, and reclamation of cotton fields use is important.

Тhe development of material and technical basis of farms directly impacts on agricultural producers by reducing the cost of their production and transportation, improving productivity, ensuring financial stability, and by attracting some of the employed in agriculture to non-agricultural employment opportunities.

However, today a number of problems have been adversely affected by the development of the system of providing basic types of material and technical resources to cotton-producing farms. Including:

·         Failure to meet the requirements of the system of production and market invitation especially for the cotton industry, especially for the resource-technical resources;

·         The difficulties in establishing adequate technical support due to the low level of financial difficulties in many cotton-growing farms and the relatively low solvency of farms;

·         Poor quality service of farms due to the lack of equipment of farming enterprises with a sufficient number of agrochemical machinery and mechanisms;

·         There is a system of financial incentives in the use of waste-saving techniques and technologies in cotton industry, as well as lack of specialists with modern technological knowledge.

Solving the problem of resource saving in cotton is mainly the following three factors: agrochemicals used for crop production; the composition of agricultural machinery; it will be directly linked to the supply of staff with modern technological knowledge.

Increasing the use of increasingly complex agricultural techniques in the cotton-growing process, the introduction of modern agro technologies in the industry, the creation of new agro technical methods, the emergence of new generation of mineral fertilizers, creating the bases for intensification of production, factors are also considered.

The article focuses on the analysis of economic performance indicators and the effectiveness of the sector, one of the key issues in agriculture today. The author has provided recommendations for solutions to the problem in this area.
