Billie Holiday’s Fingerprints

There is a consistency in the correlation between exceptional talent and rare fingerprint classifications. The digit in which a given fingerprint pattern resides is also noteworthy in the assessment of the aforementioned description. The unique musical talent of Ms. Billie Holiday (1915-1959) can only be admired for many years to come. The statistical revelation of her fingerprint pattern on the given digit is not likely to appear on another individual; be that person male or female in gender.

The fingerprint displayed on the left middle finger of Billie Holiday is quite interesting! It is classified as a Central Pocket Loop Type Whorl Pattern with an outer tracing [1]. According to an FBI study conducted in 1993 including 4,313,521 females, 18,030 displayed the aforementioned pattern on the left middle finger; which is 0.4179879963491542 % of the total [2]. In words it is four quadrillion one hundred seventy- nine trillion eight hundred seventy- nine billion nine hundred sixty-three million four hundred ninety-one thousand five hundred forty-two ten-quadrillionths. A frequency which excels less than one percent! Notwithstanding, it has a radial appearance. And the Central Pocket Loop Type Whorl could have turned out to be a conventional loop pattern in its formation during the developmental stage. Therefore, having a radial appearance we must discover this frequency as a potential Radial Loop pattern. With all racial stock included in this study from a diverse female population it is the best reflection of all NCIC FPC frequencies for females as well: in as much as it exceeds four million female individuals. The most extensive study on the frequency of fingerprint patterns to date. And so, the likelihood for a Radial Loop to appear on the left middle finger in the female population is 1.86 percent. This then could have also been an unusual occurrence.

Interesting Detail: The center right side of the pattern displays clusters of the enclosure ridge characteristic. This event is in greater number than that which is found in most patterns.

AN ADDITIONAL NOTE

In 2021 Andra Day was awarded the Golden Globe for BEST PERFORMANCE BY AN ACTRESS IN A MOTION PICTURE - DRAMA [4] for her portrayal of Billie Holiday in the film (Figure 3)”. The United States vs. Billie Holiday". The year of 2021 is the same calendar as the year of 1915, [5] the year in which Billie Holiday was born. In other words, February 28th 2021, the night of the broadcast was on a Sunday additionally, February 28th was on a Sunday in the year of 1915. The years of 1915 and 2021 both had 28 days in the month of February!
