Biography :

Professor Abd Rahim Abu Talib is a renowned scholar in the field of Aerospace Engineering. He obtained his Doctor of Philosophy in Engineering Science from Rolls-Royce UTC at the University of Oxford in 2003, and his B.Eng (hons) in Aeronautical Engineering at the University of Salford in 1998. He is currently the Vice-President and Fellow Member of the Malaysian Society for Engineering and Technology (MySET), and the Secretary General of SouthEast Asia Network on Aerospace Engineering (SANAE). He is also a registered ASEAN Chartered Professional Engineer, registered Professional Engineer with Practicing Certificate with the Board of Engineers Malaysia (BEM) and a registered Professional Technologist with the Malaysian Board of Technology (MBOT). His research and expertise include Aerodynamics, Heat Transfer, Propulsion, Sustainable Aviation & Materials. Professor Abd Rahim has been recognized for his work, receiving the International Sustainable Aviation & Energy Research Society (SARES) Young Scientist Award at the International Symposium of Sustainable Aviation in Budapest 2019, as well as a Science Award in Kuala Lumpur 2020.
